In the 1970s, the company, then called just Caravela, was a specialist in the use of engineering plastics, fiberglass, in the construction of large structures for tanks, boats, gas washers, and other unit operations products. At this time, our technical staff arrived in Brazil from Germany and joined forces to form Caravela-Thermotank.

It was there that a Brazil-Germany technical cooperation partnership started and since then we had the collaboration of Schnell Beratender Engenieur, from Germany, who incorporated numerous improvements in our cooling towers.

From the United States, through Dodds and Obler, we had an important technical collaboration for the development of heat exchangers, completing our successful know-how until today.

Currently, Caravela-Thermotank has more than 40,000 units installed throughout its five decades of existence and spread across Brazil and other countries in the Americas and Africa. This has made us a benchmark in the field of water cooling, gas condensation, closed-circuit fluid cooling, water treatment, sewage treatment, and water-oil separation.
